Introducing Myself..

Hello and God bless you!

My name is Yvette, I am 20 years old and I am from Chicago Illinois, born and raised. I welcome you to my blog page titled under, “Greater is he”! This title is based off the scripture found in 1 John 4:4. Everything being shared on here will be led directly by the Holy Spirit! This blog is to overall help those who have been struggling with their faith, leaning towards the faith, as well as those who have never heard of the Gospel!

I pray that this reaches who it needs to reach and that it inspires many to walk with the Lord and blossom into who he has called them to be, in Jesus name, Amen.

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ ‭

The Father I Serve

Image
“It’s 4:22 AM and I am currently lying down on my mom’s living room couch sobbing because I can’t help but meditate on the Lord’s goodness and mercy.” Now this blog is going to be a little different. I was originally going to speak on the power of the tongue but we will save that for another time. For now, I just want to talk about the ‘“Father I Serve”’. What do I mean by that you ask? Well I just searched up the meaning of “Providence” and according to Google, it states, “The protective care of God or of nature as a spiritual father”. This now makes so much sense as to why I can’t stop listening to this song. Even as I listen deeply to the lyrics, it completely resonates with the season I am in and I feel that many of you are in the same season. I am about to get very vulnerable: During these past 3 months of w...

What Is Forgiveness?

What does it truly mean to forgive? I think a lot of us have asked ourselves  this question at least once or twice. Here is what I felt the Lord dropped in my spirit to share with you: #1: Forgive others I am here to tell you that you have to forgive them. The moment you read that, you automatically thought of the person that hurt you. You find yourself sometimes questioning, “What did I do for them to go behind my back?” “How could they have hurt me in such a way?” “I’ll forgive but I’ll never forget.” Forgiving someone doesn’t mean that the person who hurt you has gotten away with what they did. Nor does it mean that your feelings aren’t validated regarding the situation. God wants you to come to him regarding your hurt but he doesn’t want you to stay in your hurt. When you hold onto bitterness or resentment towards another person, it is doing more harm to you than it does to them.  In Matthew 18:21-22 , it states, “Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should ...
